Lesson 1: 

Salvation through Righteousness

Lesson Objective: To provide a brief introduction to God’s purpose for man and the plan of salvation obtained through righteousness. 

1.   God’s Purpose for Man Established in Principle in Adam:

A.   Fellowship with God

B.   Representative of God in the Earth

C.   Be Fruitful and Multiply (Take Dominion)

D.   Take care of the things of God

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 

 

2.   Satanic Interference with Man’s Purpose

A.   Cause Eve to doubt whom she was

B.   Cause Eve to doubt what God said

C.   Entice Adam to violate the command of God

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 

 Gen 3:2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 

Gen 3:3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 

Gen 3:4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 

Gen 3:7  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 

Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

 

3.   The Plan of Salvation Revealed Through Scripture

A.  Man is a sinner by birth not by performance. Rom 5:12

B.  Man’s disobedience brought the sin debt. Rom 3:23

C.  God provides the free gift of salvation through Jesus. John 3:16

Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 

Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 4.   Righteousness Produces Salvation:

A.  What is Righteousness?
“God had something in His heart concerning me. He said it out of His mouth. It became a reality in His world. I say out of my mouth and believe in my heart what God said concerning me, and it becomes a reality in my world.”

Righteousness is an established lifestyle on the basis of heartfelt vocal expressions, secure the destiny of the expansion of the  Kingdom of God creating an opportunity for us to Experienceand Enjoy a Kingdom lifestyle

 

  3 Laws of Righteousness:

  1. Fabrication: simulation

  2. Fitting: assimilation

  3. Formation: manifestation

Rom 1:16 

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 

Rom 1:17 

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.  

B.  The gift of salvation is received by faith through righteousness, not by works. Ephes. 2:8-9

 C.  Righteousness and the faith process for salvation: Rom. 10:8-13

1.   Hear the message on Salvation

2.   Believe and receive the sin debt paid by Jesus Christ

3.   Confess Jesus as Lord

4.   Begin the mind renewal process

5.   Determine to have God’s best.
